Microgreens are baby salad greens, a little bit like sprouts, but grown in soil. While sprouting seeds need to germinate quickly so the seeds don’t rot, microgreens can be planted just like any other herb or vegetable seeds. That means that seeds with longer germination requirements can still be grown as microgreens. Think of basil, carrots, spinach, and any other edible greens. It’s useful to learn how to grow microgreens, because you can grow them indoors all winter for a nutritious source of fresh vegetables.

Sweet Tender Baby Sunflower Microgreens.  Fresh as a spring morning:)  These greens are a perfect base for an all microgreen salad or to add to anything at all.  Grab a handful and put them on a sandwich instead of lettuce.  You put the lettuce on to be "healthy" right, and to taste good as well:)  A handful of microgreens instead of that lettuce is going to pack a lot more vitamins, minerals, etc etc (see Nutrition breakdown below:)

Sunflower microgreens have the deliciously nutty flavor of raw sunflower seeds with the texture of spinach. Instead of or in conjunction with the seeds in a salad is incredible:)  They pack a serious nutritious punch while adding flavor and crunch to salads, soups, sandwiches, and dips.

You can cook them or eat them raw!  When cooking them, add them to the dish after you take it off the heat so that the greens maintain most of their crunch and texture. Put them in everything!  Keep them in the door of the fridge to easily grab them and use them.  Think of it like a gym membership....but actually eat them:) Try them on everything: soups, salads, omelettes and scrambled eggs, as well as sandwiches and wraps.  You are just adding nutrition and yummy at the same time:)
